Pictor Zoom Cine Lens – 20–125mm, Constant T2.8, Low Focus Breathing, PL/EF Mount, Lightweight Professional Zoom for Film & Video

For the price, getting two cinema zooms covering 20-125mm is kind of insane. Proper cine mechanics, long focus throw, and consistent look across the set. It feels like real cinema glass without rental prices.

I’ve used them on commercial and product shoots. The 50-125 especially is great for isolating subjects. It has a slightly vintage feel but still sharp enough for professional work.

For the price, this is probably the best full-frame cine zoom you can buy. You get real cinema mechanics — geared rings, long focus throw, consistent color — without spending $10K+. Perfect for indie productions.

I mainly shoot documentaries and the Catta Zoom made my life much easier. The parfocal design actually works — I can zoom during shots without losing focus, which saves tons of time on set. It’s also much lighter than other cine zooms I’ve used, so handheld shooting all day is realistic.

Better optically than the Laowa Pro2be, in my opinion. Sharper, cleaner color rendition, better contrast, more pleasing flares. Great build quality, great focus scale markings. Overall very very happy with this lens. It's my new go-to probe lens. Beats the Laowa probes in every way. Optically it comes pretty close to the much more expensive (and long discontinued) Optex Excellence and it's full frame and a zoom to boot.

Also known to be great for motion control because of its shorter length (the 360 periscope at least) from the lens and low weight. Less vibrations.

For the money, these are probably the best probes currently available.
